http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/UWHockeyVictoriaBC/

this is the link to our yahoo groups website. You will have to be admitted to the site to access the Files section and otherwise interact, but once you do you will find good information on everything from what fins to buy, to the rules (though somewhat out of date they give a great overview of the basics), to the instruction manual the New Zealanders used.

We really should have these files loaded onto our club site, but that's outa my league.

Read the files and watch your game go stratospheric.

Here’s what I think we should do tonight:

Come 10 min early (7:10PM), so we can be dressed and in the pool on time, otherwise we are wasting money.

Begin with a proper warm up to prep the body for the vigors of uwh and develop proper swim techniques.

Go over basic rules (perhaps at pizza), infringements and associated signals and penalties. This will make the game safer, will help keep us all on the same page during stopages in play. This will result in cleaner games, fewer broken ribs and more fun.

Continue developing plays and strategy. In the past we have done some of this and the pay off were immediate, as I recall.

Feel free to ask me about any of the above or just jump in with me. See you there.
